10 REASONS TO CONSIDER MCCS
1. Spiritual Training: Weekly chapels, daily Bible classes, Scripture memory, a hymn of the month, prayer in the classroom – these all reinforce the Christian values of your home, leading students to learn that all of life comes under God’s care.
2. Strong Academics: An emphasis on fundamental skills, including phonics instruction, prepares our students to consistently enter the next level of their schooling with confidence.
3. Supportive Christian Community: Parenting is tough work, and many families representing an average of 30 Christian Churches find MCCS to be a place of shared values and encouraging friendships.
4. Adult Christian Role Models: Growing children need plenty of healthy adult role models. Our experienced Christian staff gives your kids daily exposure to non-family role model examples.
5. Smaller Classes: Research consistently shows that schools of fewer than 300 students produce greater learning than larger schools. Our classes average fewer than 20 students.
6. Service Emphasis: From singing at nursing homes to County Park clean-up, to trail building, students learn that a lifestyle of service to others is central to our calling as disciples of Jesus.
7. Field Trips: Students at all grade levels experience the vast range of enjoyable educational opportunities in our Puget Sound region. Museums, the Pacific Science Center in Seattle; Northwest Trek, and more. All 7th & 8th graders have an opportunity to spend seven days experiencing the Christian heritage of our nation in Washington DC. A significant amount of the expense is provided by group fund raisers.
8. School Uniforms for K-8: More and more public and private schools see uniforms as a way to focus on learning rather than on outward appearance. We assure that uniforms are comfortable, affordable, and available.
9. Athletics: As a member of the Tri-county Athletic Association, we compete with both public and private schools in flag football, volleyball and track.
